Eerie

Scrapped this really lovely tree last night, the photo was taken August 2007, but I wanted it to look a little different, so I changed it to black & white and then added vivid & bright and it began to look like it belonged in The Adams' Family garden all creepy, perfect.

This layout is done for a competition being run by A Trip Down Memory Lane to scrap using predominantly Basic Grey, I choose the Mellow range and matching embellishments. I made my own photo corner by sticking double sided tape on the back and ruched the ribbon up, added some buttons with a little stitching down the side and hey presto finished. The best thing is I can scrap this wonderful tree again with the boys running around but making it a happy tree rather than a creepy and eerie one lol.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my little creations xxx

Just popping by to say 'hi' and apologise for not blogging recently, I've been busy doing design work for March, sadly I can't share any yet.
I will be back scrapping next week and I will share those with you, have a lovely weekend...I did have some jokes to make you smile, but my computer is playing silly buggers with me and I've typed this several times already, blessed thing lol
I will try again tomorrow!!

Design Layouts with Gotta Craft's Feb Kit

Here are three of the layouts that I did for Gotta Craft's February kit, which was very lush featuring Dream Street Romantique range (sorry kit now sold out) but if you managed to get, lucky you - thank you Sandra for making a wonderful kit that was so easy to scrap with :)

True Happiness is a layout of me and Jay cutting the cake on our Wedding Day in July 1994 and I can honestly say I remember it like it was yesterday.

True Love is again the two of us outside the Church as husband and wife, I kept the layout simple because I really wanted the photo to shine through and not be lost with the papers.

Mothers Love is a different take on the romance theme, I love my boys dearly and they mean more me to me than anyone or anything.

Hope you like them, please feel free to leave your comments...don't be shy!!

Quick 'Hello'

Just popping on to say 'hello' and as promised a little photo of my Easter ATC which was completed using the new Penny Black Bun Bun stamp and coloured in using The Works pearlised paints and a little pom pom added for his tail, aww cute eh...love Easter and Spring time its the start of new beginings :)

Well Jay is hot footing it to PC World tomorrow morning to collect my new Epson Stylus Photo printer, whoo hooo can you tell I'm excited, well sort of, I would have preferred the old one not to have broke after only 18 months and definitely not with a full tank of ink!! I also wish somebody would explain to me why when we buy these printers the inks are hideously expensive, I don't get why my printer will cost £80 but the inks will be £37 and in some places around the £45 mark :(

I know, its greed, pure and simple greed from the manufacturers who then tell us if we use compatibles it voids our warranty- cheeky bleeders!!

Dead Printer!!

My lovely Epson R240 has died on me complete with full ink cartridges, why can't these things happen when its empty!!

So I've not really done any scrapping, I did manage one for the Gotta Craft February kit and that was only after 7 photos it finally printed me one in black and white instead of a purple, I mean of the colours in the world and it choose purple...blah I hate purple.

Here's sneaky peak, can't show it all yet as the kit has only just been put up on the website and you can find it here.

I made use of my time without a printer and did my Easter/Chocolate ATCs for a swap over on UKScappers and will upload a photo as soon as I take one :)

And heres the newflash...I am hoping to get to go to Chelsea Flower Show this year courtesy of the Company my husband works for, Marshalls are the Sponsors and have been given 140 tickets for employees or their families. Well Mom has got us three tickets as a treat for me, Mom and my step-dad to go hopefully on Wednesday 21st May which is Members Only Day. I'm now sitting here waiting with baited breathe for Jay to email and say that they still have tickets available for that day, ohh I'm so excited, its been something I've always wanted to go and see but never thought I would ever have the opportunity and if its becomes a reality I shall be the happiest scrapper and gardener in the World lol.

Sneaky Peep 2

There is soooo much tapping of finger nails over on UKScrappers waiting for this lovely monthly kit from Gotta Craft and I have to say it is rather nice and I've enjoyed being able to play with it instead of wearing my finger nails out tapping lol.

So especially for you finger tapping scrappers, another sneaky peep...

Yes it's mean't to be pixelated, can't give the game away to early :) xxx

Sneaky Peep

Now I'm teasing all those waiting for the Gotta Craft February kit, so here's a teeny weeny peep at the layout I did lastnight, don't blink or you might miss it :)

Now sit tight and be patient lol xxx

Who Stole January!!

Wow, February already...pinch, punch 1st of the month.
Sorry I've been missing in action, last week I had horrible tonsillitis, one course of antibiotics and I'm back fitting fit, working hard on Design Team stuff for February's release date.

So I'll share a little joke that my Mom sent me, it'll appeal to every woman.

It finally all makes sense...I never looked at this way before MENtal illness; MENstrual cramps; MENtal breakdown; MENopause; GUYnocologist and when we have it really bad, its a HISterctomy! Ever noticed how womens problems ALWAYS start with MEN?!!! lol

I made a card last week for my step-dad whose now safetly had his birthday so I can share it with you, made from Gotta Craft's January paper kit and December's kit for the little owl stamp (both have sucessfully sold out), Heidi Swapp 'Happy Birthday' stamp and a self adhesive ribbon from DCWV completes the card, I think he was pleased, too late now :)
