My First Tilda Card

Yep it is...my first ever Tilda card and I really enjoyed making it, which surprises me some what as cards terrify me, give me a blank piece of 12x12 Bazzill cardstock and I can quite happily create something, but give me a blank card and it stays like that for hours if not days lol.

Anyway, its for my team mate (lets hope she doesn't peep) who gets another year older on Monday and now its in the hands of Royal Mail, god help us!!

I used Tilda with Hat, K&Co poppy patterned paper and brad, green Bazzill and flower and an Anita's sentiment stamp, I think.

I've also uploaded this photograph taken this afternoon for the March photography competition on UKS, what do you think :)

Easter Cards

**Warning, go away Mother, there's a card on here for you tomorrow**

Good Morning to the rest of you, well in the last 24 hours we've had snow through to bright sunshine and everything in between, not the greatest for the Easter weekend, and speaking of Easter, here are a few cards.

This one is for my parents, I used Hero Arts stamps sellotaped together and just matted and layered them onto the cards with an Easter sentiment which is glittered but doesn't show properly, damn lol.

Next up is a card for my youngest, aww I do love this little birdie from Imaginisce, the patterned paper comes from the For Peeps Sake range and is also glittered, he's coloured in using watercolours, matted and finished off with a little bow made by me :)

Finally is the card for my eldest, same little birdie only coloured in blue just to be different, papers all co-ordinate again, ribbon added and I stamped the same Easter Wishes message but this time onto shrink plastic to make a charm, not to be taken lightly as that took me most of the night, there must be an art to shrink plastic but I've yet to discover it!!

Will upload a photo of my Easter tree later for Jayne aka Sky over on UKS so don't forget to pop back :)

Enjoy your Saturday folks and a Happy & Chocolately Easter for tomorrow xxx

It's My Birthday Today

I'm 35 years old today and I love it :)

I've had lots and lots of cards from my fellow UKScrappers, you know who you are and I'm over whelmed at the cards I received today, although the postman did look slightly miffed at several cards, 3 parcels, a couple of letters A4 size and lots of junk!

Here's a photo of all the cards, aren't they just wonderful.

I've been spoilt by my husband who bought me some AL stamps, a couple of packs of Bazzill flowers, a scrummy fluffy pink with brown spots dressing gown with matching nightie, bra and knickers, some much needed iPod speakers so I can chill in the bath or garden with music, some toiletries, box of Roses and a box of Milk Tray, a DVD and a CD, how lucky am I :)

I also had my lovely Easter ATCs back with a bag full of chocolate and if that wasn't enough my 4 x 4 fat pages all on a chocolate theme arrived home too, one of which has a recipe on for a chocolate bomb which I thought I would have a go at on Sunday.

I also had my much yearned for Bazzill In'Stitch'z cat templates after seeing them released at CHA together with some new Bazzill Edges in white and black.

Phew what a brilliant day I've had and its not finished because my Mom and Roger are due down at 6pm with even more goodies, whooo hooo!!

100% Cute Girl...NOT!!

This layout I did for A Trip Down Memory Lane as Guest Designer for March. This is my Lacie who is in the dog house today after making me late for picking up my youngest from School and making me run...which I don't do!!

Again using the Basic Grey Two Scoops range including patterned papers, rub-ons, brads and gorgeous pink buttons in various sizes the crochet flowers are made by my Mom using various DMC threads and I finally figured out how to do french knots which are in the middle of the rub-on flowers from Heidi Swapp.

Well I hope you like xxx

T'is Friday

And we all love Friday don't we :)

Well I did fiddle with that layout from yesterday, didn't really alter too much, but I did figure out what was bugging me, those rounded sides on the patterned paper. I decided yesterday with 2 minutes to spare before I was supposed to pick up the youngest from School to chop the tops off, not such a fab idea as I cut it wonky as hell and I sliced into the cardstock, went to School annoyed with myself!! Sat thinking how I could now rectify a wrong that I had created and decided to tear the paper, which had I thought of that to start with I would still have cardstock in tact, but Jay says you can't tell, what do you think....

And finally here is a layout I did for ATDML as Guest Designer this month which was with Basic Grey Two Scoops which terrified me as those who know me know I don't have girls or sisters and I hate scrapping myself but the kit was mostly pink, my nightmare lol...idea...my Mom's cat Lily-Mae who is a real stuck up posh pet, so here she is turned to sepia because I thought the bike plant pot looked like it belonged in a bygone era :)

I have another layout I did but that's for another day xxx

Blog-a-Thon

A few fellow bloggers have started up a Blog-a-Thon over on UKS today, which is a fab idea and I like nothing more than chillin' with a coffee and being nosey, so I thought I had better up-date mine :)

My gorgeous Thickers arrived, some of the new ranges including the gorgeous Jewellery Box in a lovely metallic red.

Then yesterday my tickets turned up for the Chelsea Flower Show, I'm so excited at the thought of actually being there rather than watching on TV with a biscuit and a cup of coffee, roll on the 21st May :)

And I did this layout last night featuring Kyle, only problem is I'm not happy with it...can't tell you why, just am but I'll pop it in his album, wait a week then print the photo off again to do a better effort otherwise it will just bug me. I used BasicGrey Mellow range, AL stamps and a Prima birdie that will be prised off if (no that's definitely when) I do the layout again lol. Oh in real life its actually straight, its my photography skills that are wonky lol.

Tomorrow I will upload my layouts that I did as Guest Designer for ATDML this month, if you fancy a look they are called 'Queen Lily', '100% Cute Girl' which is Lacie and a 'Mom' card.

One Dimple

Good Afternoon,

I spent yesterday firstly doing the final CJ entry before they come back home, I'm not sure whether I am excited about it coming home or terrified, we'll see.

Then I scrapped this cute little photo of my youngest shortly after his Sport's Day in the Summer of 2006, it was a blistering hot day, bless they did so well and this little hero walked away with 3 victories.

I found my bazzill cardstock to match the peak of his cap but I was struggling with blue papers, and what I had left was just off-cuts so I decided to rip away and make little squares from Rhonna Farrer papers (again lol) to create interest, I also gutted the cardstock to make my photo matt. My journaling was done on the computer using Word and reads...

"Ever since you mastered the art of smiling at about 5 weeks old you've had this utterly adorable, totally kissable dimple. You don't have two, just the one always there when you smile, so beautiful and oh so cute."

Added some Chip Chatter and Rhonna Farrer Playtime letters, some blossoms and used my new 7Gypsies wax seal kit with the love heart in the middle of the flower.

Boys 'n' Bugs...Still!!!

Hello, we still have germs in our house, well not in the bathroom the amount of cleaning I've done, but the boys do...I'm hoping its come/coming to and end now, I'm touching wood, actually I look like a tree hugger I'm hanging on that tight lol.

Anyway, last week I scrapped this photo of Kyle, my eldest on Sports Day, its rather sad and every time I look at this its with a very heavy heart. He was told off for squirting water on the grass by his teacher, who made that year of School hell, but he triumphed and came out the other side and now enjoys his last year of Primary School. He also won a couple of races. I used mainly Rhonna Farrer papers and matching rub-ons which I added onto the Chip Chatter title to make it more visible.

If you fancy having a lovely kit just as a treat then pop along to Gotta Craft and pick up their new March kit, its from Dream Street Papers called Paint Your World, its rather nice and mines on order.

Bah Mumbug

BAH MUM-BUG...That's exactly how my Mother's Day has turned out, what better way to show me that I am a Mom to two boys than by being sick since Friday evening and also having the dreaded 'd' which I refuse to write in full because its a nasty, nasty word lol. Yes I feel like I've gone through half a gallon of antibacteria spray, run up a huge water bill and not forgetting the bin filled with kitchen roll, bless these little creatures of mine!!

In light of that I did have some presents thrown at me in between toilet runs, namely some chocolates and a lovely Kitten book by Rachael Hale, which I will share with you another day.

My fellow blogger and friend MJ has kindly made my night which is fab, Mandijane awarded me the 'You Make My Day' award and I'm chuffed to bits that my mad cap world makes someone smile, although I think the playlist helped lol. I was so fed up tonight so thank you, love ya hun :) xx

I wonder who will be the lucky bloggers who 'Make My Day' I think it should be sent straight back to MJ but who will be the other 8 :) xxx
