I Don't Do Snow

No she certainly doesn't!!

February 2007 and we had a lovely settling of pure white snow and so I decided (alright... granted a little tight) to show Lacie and put her outside so I could get some snowy shots. Well she was not impressed, I got the impression from the photo I've used she was uttering under her breath that she doesn't do snow, hence the title and she's such a pickle puss it suits her.

The snowflake I stamped using Making Memories Christmas foam stamps with white acrylic and added frosted lace Stickles.

The layout is again from Gotta Craft's January kit, title hand cut with my usual 4" scissors, can't do little scissors the BIGGER the better lol. Dymo font was downloaded and enlarged to go with the page and a Heidi Swapp Snow rub-on which I now hate, I have rubbed these onto photos and they work fab but oh no not on textured cardstock, my ice had melted in my Baileys by the time these stuck on and boy did I need a swig after that challenge :)

Moody

I absolutely adore black and white papers, its got to be the best way to scrap in my opinion of course. Photo's look 10 times better when printed that way too, it creates a more dramatic and striking page or photo (well I think so), and so here's another page done with the Gotta Craft January kit.

This one is of Kyle my eldest, I was taking shots outside last September for a course I was doing and having spent a fair time in the wet posing this was the look I got when I said 'oh just a few more' so I called it Moody...nearly added an extra bit on the end but resisted the urge lol.

I used my new Bazzill In Stitch'z on this page, first time too, and wow what a difference it made to the page. I slightly spoiled the title as the 'y' blobbed, but hey I'll get over it...being the perfectionist I am it may take a little while lol. Having said that, I am rather pleased with the two creations and they sit side by side in my album, sometimes it just comes together.

Lashes

Not the teddy bear kind...the ones attached to your eyelids lol.

Both of my boys have the most amazing eyelashes, and it seems to be that us girls who crave long lengths are never lucky enough to be born with them, yet the male species seem almost blessed with length, life can hard when your a woman searching for that next pot of mascara.

Anyway this is a layout I did for the Design Team gallery over at Gotta Craft (link below) with the January kit which I just love, probably because its Doodlebug. I wanted to keep it simple but classy to compliment the papers, I did the font on Word with Scriptina, printed it in mirror and painstakingly cut it out by hand, honestly I did!!

I used a Doodlebug frill to edge the patterned paper, a few brads, two black blossoms and hey presto, simple yet effective - hope I've inspired you to pop along and order your kit :)

Shasta Daisies

I love these big blooms, every year they put on such a performance which you can't help but smile at, flowers that make you happy are Shasta Daisies.

This is a layout I created for our teams scraplift challenge, my eldest drew names out of a not so glamorous empty biscuit casing and we had to choose from their gallery a layout to scraplift, I was fairly lucky and got Megs and HERE is the layout I choose to lift.

I used navy blue cardstock and white embellishments to really lift the layout, I double matted the photo, decided instead of a band of flowers I would do mine with stems made from bits of left over ribbon, Heidi Swapp white blossoms and one kindly crocheted flower by my Mom (hello) which incidently if you're reading this I could do with some more in rainbow colours, some rik-rak which I have a serious problem with, in fact I hate the stuff and a Making Memories vellum tag, not bad either...helped by the gorgeous shot I took of them last year...yes I'm having a little boast lol xx

Well after much hassle and lots of advice from the wonderful ladies on the digi forum on UKS I have been able to learn to digi scrap with PSE4 and I'm in the middle of redesigning my blog header, not sure how long its going to take me...we'll see :)

Owl's It Going

Just stopping by, which is more than my visitors are lol.

Not much doing, I've made a few ATCs this afternoon while Jay has been next door fixing their burst pipes in the kitchen (no he's not a plumber - just an emergency helper), haven't actually seen my youngest child as he's been far too busy defeating enemies on Spyro in his room, eldest one has been at a friends (which is a relief otherwise I might shove his phone right where the sun don't shine - long story but something to do with music he keeps listening too and the rest of us have to endure) so I did a little crafting.

Well here they are and I've just noticed I've put in a strange coloured brad which should be white, I will change that later, must have been when it went very dark with a very sudden hail storm out of the blue, which was so bad it came through the chimney and put the fire out...you couldn't write this stuff!!

Happy New Year

Lets hope 2008 has more of an impact than 2007 had, wishing you all health, wealth and happiness for the following year :)

Mine started with the engineer from British Gas calling out to see why my boilers packed up, well he didn't tell us anything we didn't already know...the fan motor is broke, but do you think he bought the part...NO...I have to wait until Thursday before I can have the heating back on, and it could be anytime Thursday...they charge a fortune and couldn't care less!! And bless him, he stuck a huge sticker on my boiler saying 'DO NOT USE - NOT WORKING' how ironic is that, and the stickers been pulled off, don't do stickers.

Well my latest stash spend came yesterday and here it is just for you...its the new Bazzill In Stitch'z range, can't wait to have a play when I've had a good nosey through the book and printed off some photos.
